Built for multi-material printing

Physical testing currently uses a Bambu X1C with an AMS. Broader printer support is a goal, with compatibility listed as it is verified.

Patent pending.

Tested on a Bambu X1C with an AMS

Having multiple material feeds alone does not establish compatible export, tool ordering or spool exchange. Compatibility is listed here as it is verified.

The starter filaments

  • Bambu Lab Basic Cyan (10603)
  • Bambu Lab Basic Magenta (10202)
  • Bambu Lab Basic Yellow (10400)
  • Bambu Lab Matte Charcoal (11101)
  • Bambu Lab Matte Ivory White (11100)

Other rolls can be added and calibrated. Family-based optics estimates are provisional.¹

A 3MF and a print sheet

Bambu project exports carry filament assignments and applicable pause information. Plain 3MF exports require you to assign the parts to filaments and follow the print sheet in your slicer.

Compatibility questions

Do I need five loaded slots?

Not for every recipe. A five-roll relief recipe can use four loaded positions with an operator-assisted exchange. Other palettes fit within the loaded positions. Check the recipe and print sheet.

Can I use filaments from another brand?

You can add rolls and calibrate them. Most current physical evidence is from Bambu filaments. Unmeasured rolls use estimates until you replace them with calibration.

Will the preview exactly match my print?

The preview depends on the material model and recipe. Calibration helps align the model with your rolls. Lighting, material variation and printing conditions also affect the appearance.

Still unsure about your setup?

Send your printer, slicer and filament codes and we will tell you what has been tested.

  1. Family-based optics estimates are provisional. They are not a promise that matching Basic or Matte labels behave identically.
  2. This preview does not offer an installer or promise support for an untested operating system.
  3. Polychrome is patent pending.
